Our Wedding Party
Najee Ferguson
Best Man
Ferg and I first met in our freshmen year of college at Millersville University, in Pennsylvania. We were attending the same class when Ferg inquired where I was from, from that point on, we became friends. We relied on each other to get through our difficult college courses and have remained good friends through the good times, the bad times, child rearing and retirement. We are more than friends, we are brothers and I admire him as a family man and appreciate his great sense of humor. Over the years we have bonded over our deep conversations, our love of sports, hats and cigars. I am honored to have him stand by my side on this special day.
Venese Heatley-Camp
Maid of Honor
I grew up with my cousin Venese, in a family that valued good food, music, laughter, and plenty of family get-togethers. We have remained close in spite of us moving to different states throughout the years. She has been and always will be, my cousin, my big sis, my friend, my confidant and my partner in wine! I am very humbled to have her share in my special day.
Rodger Hines
Best Man
Rodger and I first met in our freshmen year of college at Millersville University, in Pennsylvania. There was only a hand full of black males enrolled in our major, and we all knew each other. Rodger found out we were from the same city, and he asked if he could get a ride home for the weekend. We became good friends from the conversations we had traveling back and forth from college. When I left college to go into the workforce, we remained brothers. I have always admired Rodger’s love and commitment to education, his tireless work with at risk youth and of course his intellect and business mind. Throughout the years I have grown to have a deep respect and admiration for his commitment to his family, watching him assist in raising nieces and nephews as if they were his own. I credit Rodger for getting me back into the field of education, a field I genuinely love. He too is my brother, and I am proud to have him be a part of my special day.
Cynthia Y. Palmer
Maid of Honor
Cynthia and I met in 7th grade and have been friends… more like family ever since. We don’t speak on a regular basis but have been there for each other through good, bad, and life changing events, she knows me so well, and I know her. Our friendship has only grown stronger over the years and continues to this day. To say that we have deep respect and love for each other is an understatement.
